What a fabulous actress, she is stunning as a romantic lead. And Love Actually is proving to be a staple fave for all us romance movie buffs. It certainly ranks right up there as an amazing sort of Cinderella movie, rags to riches. So glad you love Notting Hill like me. And wow, I almost forgot about Sweet Home Alabama. I could watch it just for the Southern accents anytime, and the romance is super dazzling, my wordy yes. Any time someone says that to me and lightning strikes, wow indeed.Mirandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16395027098663054678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2603806150366948575.post-26560213232024228152016-07-25T21:59:22.618+10:002016-07-25T21:59:22.618+10:00Music and Lyrics is right up there for me, too Cas...Music and Lyrics is right up there for me, too Cassandra. Both Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant absolutely nail the romantic hero and heroine in movies, don't they? I haven't watched The Lucky One...yet! Another for the TBW list! Loving all these suggestions. Love the story, characters, clothes, music and songs, simply everything about it. Can watch it again and again. I also love Notting Hill - oh, that scene where Julia Roberts says "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her"...that just pulls at my heart. I ...Hi Cathryn, and a hundred thanks on popping by! I totally agree with your choice of Love, Actually - what a gorgeous movie, and so many delicious romantic strands that come together. Always makes me smile when I watch it (a good sign). I went to a recent Beatles cover concert, and hey, yes, BEATLES MUSIC ruled! People of all ages rocked along. So yes, on the basis of that I'd watch a movie featuring Beatles music. Add that one onto my TBW (To Be Watched) list, thanks. And by the way, giving a big shout out to your very beautiful April's Rainbow. That lovely book had all the feels... I watched Ever After just the other day and it reconfirmed my love of this great movie (and of the gorgeous Drew Barrymore). Some of my other favourites are Dirty Dancing, An Officer and a Gentleman and Pretty Woman. Love an ending that leaves a smile that just won't go away.
